Welcome to Portland Place

At Portland Place, we provide thoughtful, compassionate care in a warm, lively senior living community. We develop individual care plans to meet the needs of each resident, and a full-time registered nurse is available 24 hours a day to provide clinical oversight and coordination of care.

We offer daily activities such as tai chi, book club, arts and crafts, chair dancing, sing-alongs, popcorn and movie nights, songs of praise, and bingo to help residents thrive in mind and body. We also offer many invigorating outdoor activities, including horseshoes, picnics, and outings for shopping, dining, and visits to the local senior center. Recently our father/grandfather had the opportunity to have respite care at Portland Place. He was part of their family for two weeks to gain strength from a fall. During the second week he started physical therapy under the care of The Ohioans Home Healthcare.

We met many wonderful residents, and found the staff to be very supportive and welcoming to family involvement. The resident halls were quiet, but allowed for opportunities to get to know others. Dad enjoyed Henry the resident cat.

Portland Place is a wonderful place to bring your loved ones. The staff is always laughing and having a good time with the residents. From the time you step in the door, you will be greeted with a smile from the young lady at the front desk, Vicki. She is amazing and can answer your questions. If you are looking to place a family member, but they are not ready for a nursing home, this is the place for them.
